Lush Cosmetics Haul

I was first introduced to the magical world of Lush Cosmetics back in 2007 in Liverpool, England and was enticed in by the incredible scents coming from the store! At this stage, they hadn’t opened any stores in Australia yet, so I was unfortunately unable to buy any of their products, however, once they began opening their doors down under, I was very excited!

Along with their signature soaps and bath bombs, which by the way are not only great for personal use but can also be given as beautiful gifts, I have grown very fond of their skincare range and I have now tried and tested a few different products from either recommendations or just out of curiosity!

Skincare is definitely personal preference and each person has very different skin to the next. I have found from my experience though, that the staff are very helpful and happy to offer advice on which products are recommended for which skin types (eg. oily, acne prone ect).

I have recently purchased a new product from the Lush Cosmetics skincare range and that is a moisturiser. I have been um-ing and ah-ing about this moisturiser for such a long time now that I finally decided to take the plunge. The moisturiser is the “Million Dollar Moisturiser” and I have heard so many good things about it so I have high hopes!

My current favourite Lush items are products that I use on a daily or weekly basis and I have been using these items for long enough now that I can give my honest opinion on them.

  1. Lush Cosmetics “Let the Good Times Roll” Cleanser

The smell of this cleanser is amazing, it smells like a buttery, honey-ish pot of deliciousness!

The consistency took me some getting used to because I was used to liquid cleansers or cleansers in a squeezy tube of some sort, however, with this cleanser, you pinch some of the product between your fingers (approx a 10 cent coin size) and then wet your hands and rub together to form a paste. Once you get the paste consistency then you’re all set to cleanse as normal.

This product contains Maize Flour which gently exfoliates the skin as well as Corn Oil, which I think is why after I have washed my face with this cleanser it always feels so soft and moisturised.

I use this cleanser once daily, usually in the mornings.

2. Lush Cosmetics “Breath of Fresh Air” Toner Water

I cannot get enough of this toner water and I go through it like it’s going out of stock! I had originally gone into the store to purchase the “Tea Tree Water” toner water, however, one of the staff at Lush had recommended the “Breath of Fresh Air” toner water instead as it would be better suited to the”Let The Good Times Roll” cleanser, so I took her advice, of course.

I use this toner twice a day after cleansing my face and I always feel very clean and refreshed afterwards.I have even been known to use it as a setting spray for my makeup or just sporadically spraying it on my face through out the day (especially in Summer).

3. Lush Cosmetics “Love Lettuce” Fresh Face Mask

I randomly picked up one of these face masks one day and decided to try it out, which was a great idea on my behalf! This face mask always leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed and because it is a fresh face mask, it is stored in the fridge, which makes it all the more amazing in Summer!

I use this mask approximately twice a week, usually at night. I specifically love having this mask on just before bed because of the Lavender Oil, I find it very calming.

4. Lush Cosmetics “Snow Fairy” Shower Gel

This shower gel smells incredible! If you’re anything like me and love bubblegum and/or sweets then you will love this shower gel.

Unfortunately, if you weren’t lucky enough to get your hands on it around Christmas time last year, then you are going to have to wait until Christmas time again this year because it is a special edition product. You can, however, in the mean time try “The Comforter” Shower Gel which is another pink and sparkly option.

Not only are all of Lush Cosmetics products made from all natural ingredients, they are also animal cruelty free and the company itself is fighting animal testing. If you want more information on this – Click Here.

Another huge plus is that Lush Cosmetics offer an incentive to recycle their pots. When you return any 5 (specifically marked) pots to any Lush Cosmetics store, you are able to get a free Fresh Face Mask!

I’ve been wanting to try the Million Dollar Moisturizer! It’s too bad that Lush doesn’t sell it here in the US.

Oh no! Can you buy it online in the US or they just don’t stock it at all?

Yeah, it’s not available on Lush’s website in the US. Hopefully one day I’ll get to try it out!
